Protection
The Weekly Warding Practice
A structured weekly practice for maintaining and strengthening your home and personal wards.
What You Will Need
White or blue candle
Burned weekly to renew protective energy. Keep a supply of small candles for consistent practice. Tea lights are economical and effective.
Salt
Used each week to refresh protective boundaries. A small container of kitchen salt dedicated to this practice is helpful.
Incense or dried herb bundle
Provides smoke for weekly energetic cleansing. Stick incense, a rosemary sprig, or any fragrant dried herb from your kitchen.
Small bell or chime
Rung to clear and reset energy in each room. Any bell-like object or two metal utensils tapped together will work.
Journal or notebook
For recording weekly observations about the energy of your space. This builds awareness over time and helps you notice patterns.
Moon Phase & Timing
Weekly warding is a maintenance practice. While it works any day, aligning with the moon enhances its effectiveness.
Full Moon: The weekly session that falls closest to the full moon should be your most thorough. Perform the full ritual with extra attention and intention.
Waning Moon: During waning moon weeks, emphasize the cleansing and banishing aspects. Sweep or vacuum before the ritual to physically and energetically remove accumulated debris.
