What You Will Need
A small hand mirror
Any size that lets you see your full face. A compact mirror or vanity mirror works well.
Rose water
Store-bought or homemade by steeping rose petals in warm water. A spray bottle of rose water from the grocery store is perfect.
A small spoonful of honey
Raw honey is best, but any honey will do. This represents the sweetness you deserve.
A pink or white candle
Pink for self-love and compassion, white for wholeness. A tea light is fine.
A soft cloth or cotton pad
For anointing the mirror. A washcloth, cotton ball, or even a tissue will work.
A pen and paper
To write your self-love affirmation before the ritual begins.
Moon Phase & Timing
Self-love work is always valid, but the moon can deepen how you receive it.
Waxing Moon: As the moon grows fuller, so does your capacity to accept love from yourself. Best for building new self-worth.
Full Moon: Stand before the mirror under the full moon's energy for maximum radiance. You are reflecting the moon's wholeness back to yourself.
Waning Moon: Use this phase to release self-criticism, shame, or old wounds that block you from loving yourself fully.
