What You Will Need
Four pieces of paper
One petition for each element — Earth, Air, Fire, and Water.
A pen
To write each petition with focus and clarity.
A candle
For the Fire element — any color that feels powerful to you.
A bowl of water
For the Water element — clean, clear water from your tap.
A bowl of salt or soil
For the Earth element — salt from your kitchen or soil from your yard.
Incense, a feather, or an open window
For the Air element — anything that moves air and carries scent.
A fireproof dish
To safely burn the Fire petition.
Moon Phase & Timing
Petitioning all four elements is a complete working that calls on the full spectrum of natural power. The full moon provides the broadest energy.
Full Moon: All elements are at their most responsive under the full moon's light.
Equinox: The equinoxes balance all elemental forces equally — a powerful time for petitions.
Outdoors: If possible, perform this ritual outside where you can feel all four elements naturally present.
