The Mirror Trap
An advanced reversal working using a small mirror wrapped in black thread and ringed with salt. Any negative energy or ill will directed at you is caught in the mirror and reflected back to its sender.
What You Will Need
A small mirror
A compact mirror, a round craft mirror, or any small flat mirror you can wrap completely. Dollar store mirrors work perfectly for this purpose.
Black thread or black yarn
Enough to wrap the mirror many times over — at least three feet. Black absorbs and traps negativity. Cotton thread or acrylic yarn both work.
A square of black fabric
Large enough to wrap the mirror completely. An old black t-shirt cut into a square, a black bandana, or any dark cloth will do.
Salt
A handful of table salt or sea salt, for creating a purification circle and sealing the trap.
A black candle
For banishing and reversal energy. A birthday candle or tea light is sufficient if you cannot find a taper.
A pen and small piece of paper
To write what you are trapping and returning. Be specific about the energy or behavior you are reversing.
Moon Phase & Timing
Reversal and trapping spells gain their power from the dark side of the lunar cycle, when the moon itself is pulling energy inward and downward.
Waning Moon: The shrinking moon is ideal for diminishing the power of whatever is being sent against you. Each night it grows weaker.
Dark Moon: The most potent time for reversal work. In total darkness, the mirror becomes the only reflective surface — a perfect trap.
Saturday Night: Saturn rules Saturday and governs boundaries, karma, and binding. A Saturday during the waning moon is the most powerful alignment for this spell.
