The Debt Breaking Rite
Write your debts on paper in red ink, submerge the paper in a jar of water with vinegar and black salt, then freeze it solid. When the debts are paid, thaw the jar and pour the water at a crossroads.
What You Will Need
A piece of paper and pen
For writing down the debts or financial burdens you want to release. Be as specific as you are comfortable being.
A glass jar or container with a lid
Large enough to hold the paper submerged in water. A mason jar or old food jar works well.
Water
Enough to fill the jar. Water is the element of emotion, cleansing, and transformation.
White vinegar
Two to three tablespoons. Vinegar is a traditional ingredient for dissolving negativity, cutting ties, and breaking stagnant patterns.
Black salt or regular table salt mixed with black pepper
A generous pinch. Black salt absorbs and neutralizes heavy financial energy. If you do not have black salt, mix table salt with ground black pepper.
Access to a freezer
The jar will be frozen to halt and freeze the debts in place, stopping their growth and power over you.
Moon Phase & Timing
This is a banishing spell — it works to diminish, dissolve, and break the hold of debt. Time it with the shrinking moon.
Waning Moon: The ideal phase. As the moon shrinks, so does the power of your debts. Begin this spell as close to the start of the waning phase as possible.
Dark Moon: The final sliver before the new moon. Powerful for total cessation — freezing something so completely it cannot regenerate.
Saturday: Saturn's day rules restriction, discipline, and endings. A Saturday during the waning moon is the most potent timing for debt-breaking work.
